The most expected event in the swimming pools and wellness field in Bucharest was the seminar ‘The construction of public swimming pools’, which gathered members of the Association for Swimming pools and Wellness, architects, engineers and academics, in a professional environment.

 Although not all persons invited were present, the interest of the attendants has been attracted by the interesting discussions on various topics.

 Mr. Serban Moroianu has shared some of his experience in terms of reducing energy consumption in swimming pools. Ms. Mihaela Bucur from Chemoform Romania offered the answers to all questions regarding the normal values of swimming pool water, and Mr. Sorin Curca from PISCINE SPERANTA SERVICE, former Speranta Club reminded some FINA regulations about the swimming pools construction.

 This seminar’s aim was to raise the interest of the Romanian professionals working in this area for quality information in accordance with the European standards, and to facilitate contacts for various collaborations. In the future APPW aims to organize more complex seminars, on a specific theme, depending on the request of the professionals who are interested. Moreover, foreign well known companies will be invited to present new products and technologies available on the international market.
